In this episode I am joined by my good friend and colleague John Terry as we listen to audio from an interview I conducted with Young Lords Organization (YLO) Minister of Information Omar López in March 2013. As Minister of Information, López was the person most responsible for producing the Young Lords’ newspapers. In this interview López discusses the goals of the newspaper, the activists behind it, and the challenges they faced as young people without many resources.

López has continued to be an activist since his days as a YLO leader, so be on the lookout for follow-up episodes on his more contemporary life and work.
